This sturdy stainless steel colander has an expandable frame that fits over nearly any kitchen sink, giving you a hands-free space to rinse produce or drip-dry dishes. We like how quick and easy it is to wash big bunches of greens, root vegetables and gritty leeks with this tool: Just adjust the arms to sit securely over your sink, place your produce in the basket and get rinsing. The wire mesh allows water to pass through instantly, without pooling up or trapping debris; the spacious design gives you enough room to sort smaller items into dirty and clean piles. When youre done, the colander doubles as a drying rackno need to lug out the salad spinner or dry off individual potatoes with a rag. (Its also great for drying dishes without cluttering up your counters.) You can even use it to strain cooked pasta, larger beans or any foods bigger than the holes in the mesh. If you prefer to set the basket in your sink, you can do that, toothe sturdy, non-slip feet at the bottom keep a safe distance between your produce and the surface of your sink. And best of all, the frame collapses easily after use, making this colander easy to store despite its size.
