RAK5804is aWisBlock IOmodule that extends the WisBlock system with a wide range of additional IOs. It provides a solution for connecting your ownsensors, displays, or buttonsto a WisBlock-based application.

RAK5804 exposesIO pins,I2C, andUARTto the users application ports throughthree (3) connectors. Through these connectors, users can attachsensors,digital I/O,analog I/O, andslave devicesvia theI2CandUARTports to complete a final IoT solution.

When combined with theRAK4631 WisBlock Core, RAK5804 gives the solution an interface tonon-standard sensorsanduser interfaces. This interface serves as the bridge between such sensors andLoRaWan communication,LoRa point-to-point connections, orBLE.

RAK5804 is suitable forbattery-powered applicationsbecause the WisBlock system allows the module to bepowered down completelyto further reduce overall system power consumption. The circuits are protected byTVSand also prevent output power overload using aPTC thermistor.
