The Baader ClickLock System is a precise accessory clamp without locking screws. The eyepiece, diagonal or accessory used is held without the inconvenience of the thumbs screwswhich causes tilt and therefore changes the collimation of the optical system.

This model fits on M42 (T2) male threads and holds 1.25″ accessories.

Standard eyepiece holders use thumb screws to hold the accessory in place. While tightening, these screws turn the accessory and therefore alter thecollimation. You can notice this effect with a laser collimator: the more you tighten the thumb screws, the more the laser dot will move across the mirror. If you repeat this test, the laser dot will move to another position so the collimation can never be precise.

Make sure you double check the optical length of the Baader Clicklock before you purchase, in case the extra space puts the focal point to far out. This is especially important for Newtonians where space is limited.

The Baader ClickLock secures your 1.25″ accessories using its clamping system that holds the part at three sides, thus not introduces tilting movements.

The Baader ClickLock System at a glance:

• A 20 rotation of the external collar is sufficient to securely hold 1.25″ accessorieswhile stayingsafe and firm.

• The compression ring holds your most expensive accessory without leaving scratches and marks on the barrels.

• The top ring of the adapter works like a micro focuser, one turn moves the accessory of only 0.5mm. The maximum excursion is 6mm.
